Water Balance

water droplet

- is, in essence, the relationship between the different chemicals in the water

These values change, dependant on what comes into contact with, or gets into, the pool water

It is absolutely vital to test the water balance regularly to ensure the correct level of sanitizer, the pH, Total Alkalinity (TA), Calcium Hardness (CH) and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)

Daily testing for pH and sanitizer is best until you have a handle on what's happening in your particular, unique pool

TA, TDS and CH should be tested for every month

It makes sense to change the water in the pool as infrequently as possible and keeping the pool 'balanced' will delay the time when there is no option to replace all or part of the water
