- sodium dichloro-s-triazinetrione - does not require the addition of either a neutralizing chemical or Cyanuric Acid stabilizer3D dichloro molecule

  • Sodium Dichloro will provide about 60% available Chlorine
  • Sodium Dichloro has a long shelf life, dissolves rapidly and does not cause cloudiness in the pool
  • However, because it dissolves so rapidly it cannot be used in a dry-chlorine feeder but must be pre-dissolved and dispensed in a liquid feeder
  • Sodium Dichloro is almost 60% Cyanuric Acid (CYA) by weight and can therefore cause a build-up of CYA in the pool
  • Therefore, Cyanuric acid levels should be more frequently checked
  • Partial drainage and refill the pool is required if the Cyanuric Acid level exceeds 100 ppm
  • 1kg of  Sodium Dichlor contains approximately 550gms of available Chlorine and 560 g of CYA when dissolved.  How weird is that?  You get more than you started with!
  • Sodium Dchlor is the second most expensive per Kg of available Chlorine
  • However, Sodium Dichloro does not have any hidden costs associated with it
  • Sodium Dichloro is pH neutral and so does not require any neutralising chemicals to be added to the water
